So I’m going to try here, but I dunno your particular situation.

Easiest way to find the “My Kindle Content” folder is to use Spotlight. Go to the little Magnifery icon in the top right corner and just type in “My Kindle Content”. That will find it if you have it. If it’s not there, i dunno how you have things configured. You could consider reinstalling Kindle for Mac on your computer.

I must be doing something wrong. I have a Mac and the Kindle app on my Mac, but do not have a My Kindle Content folder anywhere on my Mac. And where in iTunes is the File Sharing? HELP!!!

Thanks Scott! I have an iPhone 4 and just opened the prc file from my mail program. It prompted me if I wanted it in Kindle. And, voila! there was my book! It could not have been any easier. Appreciate the tutorial.

Thank you so much for this info, Scott! The easy-to-follow, straightforward directions are going to be handy when I get the new iphone next month once Verizon (finally) releases it. Try full quitting the Kindle app from the multitasking bar. Then restarting it. Should pick the new books up then.

Thanks for sharing this. Your suggestion is the most
logical I have seen of all the suggestions so far. I got almost
everything to work. I see the .mobi files listed on ipad explorer
(the equivalent of iphone explorer) under ebooks as you outlined.
But when I launch Kindle on the iPad, the books aren’t listed. Any
other suggestions?

Hey Stewart,

I’m not sure about your situation. I don’t have an iPod touch, but it works on my iPad and iPhone and they are all running the same iOS, essentially. Also, again I’m running on OS X, if you are on Windows and seeing something different, I can’t really troubleshoot that.

But have a look at some of the other applications that will let you interface with a nonjailbroken iDevice. I’ve posted them above to another comment.

Best of luck. It really should be easy, once the right application is finding the folders.

Hi downloaded iPhone Explorere just fine and opened it etc however I can only get to Apps/com.amazon.lassen and no further

Does my Touch have to be jailbroken to see the next level of folders?

Thanks Scott. I’ve about 5,000 titles but did not know how to get them on to my iPad. This mini-tutorial worked like a charm (knock on wood!). 2011 will be a banner literature-consuming year for me. Kudos to you!
